Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome Stéphane Le Bars, General Delegate of AnimFrance. It was an opportunity to talk about the development of the animation film and video game industries in Avignon. As training plays a central role in this development, we presented the close links between the École des Nouvelles Images and Avignon University, in particular our location on the university campus and the Villa Creative project.
We also discussed the ecological transition of our industry and the existing solutions in Avignon, such as the new-generation data center, powered by solar energy and green hydrogen, developed by H2Digital.
AnimFrance ?
AnimFrance is a union dedicated exclusively to the animated film and audiovisual creation sector. It currently brings together more than 70 production companies and studios throughout France, accounting for 96% of jobs in the sector.
Villa Creative ?
As part of Avignon Université, this magnificent site will house part of the teaching of the École des Nouvelles Images and the University's research laboratories, and is already home to training courses offered by the CNAM. The Villa will also be home to players involved in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), such as animation and video game studios, FrenchTech, the Avignon Festival, etc.
Many thanks to all those present and to the institutions that contribute on a daily basis to the development of these wonderful projects: Région Sud, Département de Vaucluse, Grand Avignon, Ville d'Avignon, SudAnim, Les Films du Tambour de Soie, Studio Circus, La Station Animation, Studio Chromatik, Avignon Université, Villa Creative, LaScierie, H2Digital.
